Daniel Szalay

I’m a software developer based in Budapest, Hungary. I have 8 years of experience building web applications for various industries, using a wide variety of technologies across the full stack.

Currently I’m at ZETO, building a web platform that helps clinicians review and interpret full-montage EEG data to make better, faster decisions.

When I’m not programming, I’m either out on an adventure with my dog Rupert, or playing the drums, which has been a passion of mine for about 20 years.

At ZETO, I work as a full-stack engineer on the company's cloud-based full-montage EEG platform, building reliable, scalable tools for clinicians and researchers, improving real-time data processing workflows, and contributing to features that enhance the accuracy and usability of EEG examinations across healthcare environments. Since 2026, I also lead a small team of developers, while continuing to work as a developer.

I was a full-stack developer working on the company's first product: UXfol.io. I've learned a lot from scaling an early MVP into a fully-fledged product with thousands of paying users, and hundreds of thousands of registrations. I also helped launch the company's second product, Copyfol.io, by building the initial payment integration.
